8MP 4K PoE dome camera

The Ubiquiti UVC-G6-Dome-B is an 8-megapixel IP camera that records 4K video at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 30 fps. It connects through a 10/100 MbE RJ45 port using Power over Ethernet for a single-cable installation. The camera is built for installers who need vandal-resistant coverage in exposed locations.

IP66 IK10 weatherproof housing

An aluminum alloy enclosure rated IP66 and IK10 protects the camera from dust, water jets and heavy impact. The quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor handles on-device AI detections while maximum power draw stays at 9.25 W. Built-in IR LEDs provide night vision to 30 m without external illuminators.

Ceiling or wall mount included

The package supplies hardware for ceiling or wall mounting, with optional flush-mount and gang-box plates available separately. A factory-reset button is accessible on the housing. The camera integrates with the UniFi Protect application for centralised management alongside other Protect devices.

Questions about this item

How do I install the UVC-G6-Dome-B and which mounting step is often missed?

Connect the 10/100 MbE RJ45 port to a PoE switch for power and data, then secure the included ceiling or wall mount to a solid surface before attaching the camera body; the step often missed is tightening the set screw that locks the dome to the mount base.

What maintenance will the UVC-G6-Dome-B need over time?

Clean the polycarbonate dome and IR LED window periodically to maintain 30 m night vision clarity, and check the aluminum-alloy enclosure seals to preserve the IP66 rating; the 1/1.8" 8MP sensor and fixed lens have no user-serviceable parts.

What limit appears first during continuous 4K recording on the UVC-G6-Dome-B?

The 10/100 MbE interface caps sustained throughput at 100 Mbps, which becomes the bottleneck before the 9.25 W PoE budget or the 30 fps sensor output when streaming 3840 x 2160 video.
