Ugreen 30724 USB audio adapter

The Ugreen 30724 adds a stereo headphone output and a mono microphone input to any device with a USB-A port. It uses a built-in DAC that supports up to 16bit/48kHz resolution for clearer playback and recording. The adapter is aimed at laptop, desktop and console users who need a simple analogue audio connection.

Check your device before ordering

You need a free USB-A socket; the adapter will not fit USB-C ports without a separate converter. The microphone jack accepts only a TRS 3.5 mm plug, so headsets with combined TRRS connectors require a splitter. Verify that your operating system appears in the supported list, which includes Windows, macOS, Linux, PS4, PS5 and Switch.

Build quality and daily use

The compact ABS housing measures 4.8 cm by 11.1 cm by 12.3 cm and weighs 0.02 kilograms, making it easy to carry in a laptop bag. Two 3.5 mm sockets are clearly labelled for headphone and microphone, and in-line controls on your headset remain functional. No external power or driver installation is required for basic operation.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and does the adapter need any extra cables or power?

The package contains one Ugreen 30724 USB audio adapter. It draws power from the USB port and has built-in 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jacks, so no separate cables or power supply are required.

Which version should I pick if I need both a headphone and a microphone connection?

This single model provides dual TRS 3-pole 3.5 mm ports — one for stereo headphones and one for a mono microphone — covering both needs in one unit.

What does the 16-bit 48 kHz spec mean when I plug it into my laptop?

It means the internal DAC converts digital audio at up to 16-bit depth and 48 kHz sample rate, delivering CD-quality stereo output and microphone input without driver installation.
