Headset adapter for single-jack devices

The Ugreen 60287 is a 3.5 mm TRRS male to dual TRS female audio adapter in silver. It lets you connect a headset with separate headphone and microphone plugs into a laptop, console or phone that has only one combined 3.5 mm port. The 7.87 in braided cable uses gold-plated connectors and a copper core for reliable signal transfer.

Compatibility and limits

The adapter works with CTIA-standard headsets on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch 2, Steam Deck, Xbox, tablets and phones. It does not support OMTP headsets or iPhone EarPods. Buyers whose headset uses a single TRRS plug, a Lightning connector or USB-C audio should look at a different solution because this splitter expects two distinct TRS jacks.

Cable reach and build

At 7.87 in the cable is short enough to stay tidy on a desk or in a bag, yet long enough to reach a front-panel jack without strain. The nylon braid resists tangles and the aluminium shell protects the contacts. For setups where the combined port is further away — such as a rear motherboard panel or a wall-mounted TV — the fixed length may be too short.

Questions about this item

What jack must my PC, laptop or tablet provide for the Ugreen 60287 adapter to work?

The device needs a single 3.5 mm TRRS combo jack that carries both stereo output and microphone input.

Can I keep using my older headset that has separate 3.5 mm TRS plugs for audio and microphone?

Yes, the adapter splits the TRRS male connector into two TRS female ports so legacy dual-plug headsets connect directly.

How do I confirm the microphone is active after plugging everything in?

Insert the headset and mic plugs into the adapter first, then connect the adapter to the device; the system should then recognise the microphone input.
