Ugreen 60749 USB-C to Lightning cable

The Ugreen 60749 is a 2-metre USB-C to Lightning cable built for iPhone, iPad and AirPods users who need a certified link between USB-C power sources and Lightning devices. It carries official MFi certification with a C94 connector, so iOS devices recognise it without warning messages and charge at the fastest speed the host allows. The white TPE jacket and reinforced joints survive more than 15,000 bending cycles and 10,000 plug cycles for long-term daily use.

USB-C to Lightning interface limits

The cable delivers up to 18 watts at 5 volts and 3 amps, enabling Power Delivery fast charging on compatible iPhone models from the 8 series through the 14 series. Data moves at USB 2.0 rates of 480 megabits per second, which is the ceiling for the Lightning connector itself. Older iPhone 7, 6 and SE models as well as legacy iPad and iPod models fall back to standard charging speeds because they do not support the PD protocol over Lightning.

Capacity and headroom

At 18 watts the cord charges an iPhone 14 from zero to 60 percent in roughly 30 minutes and shifts a 1 gigabyte file in about 30 seconds. The 2-metre length gives enough reach for desk, bedside or sofa use without pulling on the connector. It cannot exceed the Lightning port’s 480 megabit data ceiling or the 18-watt PD limit, so newer iPhone 15 models with USB-C will not benefit from this cable’s fast-charge capability.
