Three-pack USB-A to USB-C converters

This three-pack of Ugreen US701 adapters converts a USB-A port into a USB-C receptacle, letting you use USB-C cables and peripherals with legacy USB-A chargers, laptops or car sockets. Each unit supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer and 3 A charging, and the aluminium shell is rated for 10 000 insertion cycles. The pack suits anyone refreshing older USB-A power sources for modern USB-C devices.

Ideal for USB-C phones.

The adapters work with current iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, iPad Pro and AirPods models for charging up to 18 W on Android and 7.5 W on Apple, plus full 10 Gbps data when the host and cable both support USB 3.1 Gen 2. Buyers who need USB-C to USB-A conversion, power delivery above 18 W or 40 Gbps throughput should look at other adapter types.

10 Gbps maximum data rate

The single specification that decides fit is the 10 Gbps ceiling: both the host port and the USB-C cable must be USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 capable, otherwise transfer will fall back to 480 Mbps. Cable length should stay within 3.3 ft to maintain the top speed.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the adapter is delivering 10 Gbps after plugging it in?

Transfer a large file between a USB-C drive and the USB-A port; speeds should approach 10 Gbps. If the rate stalls at 480 Mbps, reverse the USB-C cable and keep its length under 3.3 ft.

What comes in the 3-pack and what extra items are required?

The pack contains three black USB-A male to USB-C female adapters (model US701, part 45299). You must supply your own USB-C cables and USB-C peripherals such as phones, flash drives or tablets.

Which version should I choose — the 3-pack or a different quantity?

Choose the 3-pack (package quantity 3) when you need multiple adapters for several chargers or workstations; single, 2-pack, 4-pack and 5-pack options exist for other quantity needs.
