Pocket-Sized RGB Video Light

The ULANZI VL120 is a compact on-camera light for photographers and vloggers who need portable colour control. It packs 120 LED beads, including 84 bi-colour and 36 RGB units, into a body roughly the size of a credit card. A built-in 3100mAh lithium-ion battery delivers up to three hours of continuous output. The integrated LCD screen shows brightness percentage, RGB values, colour temperature and remaining power.

Replaces Bulkier Panels

This unit upgrades from larger, mains-powered panels when travel weight and setup speed are priorities. The jump is worth it for solo creators who move between locations and need a key or fill light that fits in a small bag. It covers a 2500K to 9000K colour-temperature range and offers 360 full-colour options plus 20 built-in effects such as lightning and candlelight. Maximum brightness reaches 1250 lux at 0.3 metres with a CRI of 95+.

USB-C Power Limits

The light charges and runs via a USB 3.0 Type-C connection, so it can operate while plugged into a compatible power bank or adapter. Runtime is capped at roughly three hours on the internal cell at full power, and the MTBF is rated at two hours. Output drops as the battery depletes, and the small diffuser provides only limited softening. There is no provision for AC mains input or larger Bowens-mount modifiers.
