Compact Bluetooth Speaker for Outdoor Use

The Ultimate Ears MiniRoll 984-002015 is a palm-sized portable speaker built for outdoor environments. It delivers balanced audio through a 2.0 active configuration with a 100 hertz response bandwidth. Bluetooth connectivity provides a 131 foot operating range. The IP67 rating allows submersion in one metre of water for 30 minutes and protects against dust. A 1.2 metre drop proof rating adds durability for active use.

Suits Listeners Wanting Rugged Portability

This speaker suits users who need a compact, waterproof and dustproof audio device for pool, beach or shower environments. The integrated strap allows clickable, hookable and wearable carrying options. Buyers who require longer battery life than 12 hours of playtime should consider larger alternatives. Those needing stereo pairing beyond the Auracast multi-speaker function or a wider frequency response than 100 hertz will find the specifications limited.

Simple Wireless Setup With Strap Mounting

Installation is straightforward: pair the speaker via Bluetooth and attach the strap to a bag, belt or hook for immediate use. The 277 gram weight and 4.83 by 4.13 by 1.9 inch dimensions keep it unobtrusive. Common issues include reduced battery performance at high volumes or in extreme temperatures. The Auracast pairing process requires a long press on the play/pause button, which some users may find unintuitive initially.
