This 12-inch gas strut delivers 147 newtons of force to hold open hatches, cabinet doors or camper windows. It suits automotive, RV and marine applications where a single strut must support up to 33 pounds. The red metal housing resists corrosion in interior and exterior environments.

Ball-socket brackets and 10mm mounting holes

Two included brackets with 10 by 6 millimetre installation holes let you bolt the strut to flat surfaces using the five 3-millimetre screws supplied. The 6-millimetre connecting rod and 15-millimetre housing diameter fit standard lift-support geometry. No special tools are needed, but the strut must not be compressed by hand before it is mounted.

Adjustable soft-close speed
