Purpose and audience

The Unique-Bargains 2W 12V polysilicon panel supplies a small, steady current for low-power devices such as toys, chargers, science projects or a solar water pump. It suits hobbyists, students and DIY builders who need a portable energy source without mains wiring.

Sustained output behaviour

Rated at 2W and 12V, the module delivers its modest power continuously while sunlight falls on its 136 x 110mm active area. Output scales directly with irradiance, so clouds or shading reduce current proportionally rather than causing a sudden cut-off.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The solid casing stays cool because the panel generates electricity without moving parts or active cooling. Zero acoustic noise is produced during operation. The panel itself draws no external power; it only produces up to 2W from the available light.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 V 2 W panel generate noticeable heat when left in direct sun all day?

The polysilicon cells run cool under normal irradiance; the thin 2 mm frame dissipates the small 2 W load without a heatsink.

What connectors or cables must I already have to wire this 136 x 110 mm module into a 12 V battery or pump?

The panel ships with bare solder pads only; you will need a compatible 12 V charge controller, wiring and connectors suited to your battery or pump.

Can I pair this 2 W panel with an older 10 W polysilicon module in the same 12 V off-grid array?

Mismatched wattages create current imbalance; use a separate charge controller for each panel or match panels of equal power for reliable operation.
