4mm M12 x 0.5 Fixed IR Board Lens

This 4mm M12 x 0.5 Fixed IR Board Lens is a surveillance accessory designed for CCTV security cameras. It suits installers who need a direct replacement lens with a standard M12 x 0.5mm thread mount. The lens uses a plastic and glass construction weighing 5g and offers an F2.0 aperture for light gathering.

Replacement lens for existing CCTV cameras

The lens threads in easily after the previous lens is removed, making it a straightforward upgrade for compatible cameras. It brings the view closer to the action than a wide-angle lens, improving subject detail in surveillance scenes. The jump is worth it when the current lens provides too broad a field of view for the monitoring area.

85° angle of view on 1/3" format

The 4mm focal length delivers an 85 degree angle of view on a 1/3" sensor format. This comfortably handles mid-range monitoring where a narrower perspective is needed over an expansive one. It runs out when a wider panoramic view or longer telephoto reach is required for the installation.
