Aluminium Foil Tape 25 mm x 50 m

This black matte aluminium foil tape is a single-sided, pressure-sensitive roll designed for sealing and patching. It measures 25 mm wide by 50 m long with a thickness of 0.07 mm. The tape is waterproof, flame-retardant and rated for short-term exposure up to 120 °C and long-term use at 95 °C.

HVAC installers and lighting technicians

The non-reflective black finish absorbs ambient light, making it suitable for masking spill light on projectors, barn doors and light cans. Builders needing a reflective silver finish or a double-sided conductive tape for EMI shielding should look at alternative products.

Check surface compatibility and temperature range

The adhesive bonds to metals, plastics, copper, ceramic and concrete, and conforms to irregular corners and corrugated joints. Verify that the operating temperature of your duct or equipment stays within the 95 °C long-term limit before applying.

Questions about this item

What surface temperature can the 0.07mm tape withstand continuously?

The tape is rated for long-term exposure up to 95 and short-term peaks up to 120, so it stays bonded on hot ductwork or projector housings.

Will the 25mm black matte finish adhere to the galvanised steel duct I already have?

Yes, the pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds to metals including galvanised steel, as well as plastics, copper, ceramic and concrete.

How do I confirm the 50m roll is sealing the HVAC joints properly after application?

Press firmly along every seam, then run the system; no air whistles, no visible gaps and the tape stays flat without lifting at corners means the seal is holding.
