Direct Replacement Remote

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original APEX HT170WRM, HRM170, HT170 and HT170RM models. It replicates every button and function of the factory handset so the TV responds exactly as before. Infrared transmission requires clear line of sight to the set. The unit arrives pre-programmed and ready for immediate use.

Single-Device Households

Buyers who only need to control one APEX television will find this a straightforward solution. It supports a single device and cannot be programmed for additional equipment such as soundbars, streaming boxes or disc players. Households wanting one remote for multiple components should look elsewhere.

Infrared Only Operation

The sole communication method is infrared, so the remote must point directly at the TV sensor without obstruction. There is no radio-frequency or Bluetooth capability for through-cabinet control. Verify that the existing set uses infrared before purchasing.
