Direct replacement for ILIVE remotes

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original ILIVE ITPW891BS, REMITPW891, and ITPW891B models. It replicates every button and function of the supplied handset. The unit arrives with all codes pre-installed and ready for immediate use after inserting batteries. It controls one device using infrared transmission.

Check your model and battery supply

Verify that your equipment uses one of the three listed model numbers before ordering. The remote operates on AAA batteries which are not included in the package. Ensure you have a clear line of sight between the handset and the device because communication relies on infrared signals. No programming or setup steps are required.

Drop-in control for a single iLive unit

The remote fits straight into an existing iLive setup without additional hubs, apps, or pairing procedures. It frees you from searching for a lost or damaged original handset. Infrared operation means it works independently of Wi-Fi networks or Bluetooth pairing. A 12-month guarantee covers the replacement unit.

Questions about this item

Does the ILIVE ITPW891B remote arrive with batteries or do I need to buy AAA cells separately?

The remote is supplied without batteries; you must provide two AAA cells before it will operate.

The listing mentions the ITPW891BS, REMITPW891 and ITPW891B codes — which one should I match to my device?

All three model codes refer to the same original iLive remote, so this single replacement works for any of them.

The remote controls only one device — what does that mean when I point it at my soundbar?

It sends infrared commands to a single iLive unit at a time; you cannot use it to operate a TV and soundbar together.
