Universal remote for White Westinghouse WD55UT4490 WD50UT4490 WD40FK2550 WD50FB2530

Direct replacement remote

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original White Westinghouse remote supplied with WD55UT4490, WD50UT4490, WD40FK2550 and WD50FB2530 televisions. It replicates every button function of the factory remote and arrives pre-programmed. Simply insert two AAA batteries and it is ready to use. The unit is brand new and covered by a twelve-month guarantee.

Replaces lost or damaged original

It replaces a lost, broken or worn-out original remote for the listed White Westinghouse models. The jump is worth it when the original handset is unavailable or the buttons no longer respond reliably. Because it supports only a single device, it is not suited for buyers who want one remote to control a soundbar, set-top box or other equipment alongside the television.

Infrared line-of-sight control

The remote uses infrared wireless technology, so it requires a clear line of sight to the television's sensor. Range and reliability depend on the TV's IR receiver sensitivity and any obstacles between the handset and the screen. It offers no radio-frequency, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi control and cannot operate through cabinet doors or walls. Battery life will vary with usage patterns and the brand of AAA cells fitted.
