Direct replacement remote

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original TEAC/TEAK XCARTAGH380, RC1225, AGH380 and CRH500NT handsets. It replicates every button function of the supplied remote so the user regains full control immediately. The unit arrives pre-programmed and only requires batteries to operate. It is not for buyers who need a single remote to consolidate several different devices.

Infrared operation with AAA power

The handset communicates using infrared, requiring line of sight to the component. Power comes from standard AAA batteries which are not included. There is no backlight, rechargeable cell or radio-frequency option mentioned in the data. Users who want backlit keys or RF control should look elsewhere.

Ready-to-use with twelve-month guarantee

The remote ships with the original command set already installed, so no code entry or learning routine is needed. Insert the batteries and the replacement works straight away. A twelve-month guarantee covers defects in materials or workmanship. No programming cable, software download or smartphone app is supplied.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the replacement remote for my TEAC XCARTAGH380?

Insert two AAA batteries and the remote is ready to use; it arrives pre-programmed for the XCARTAGH380, RC1225, AGH380 and CRH500NT models with no extra pairing steps required.

What maintenance will this universal remote need over time?

Replace the two AAA batteries when the infrared range shortens or buttons stop responding; no other user-serviceable parts are inside the handset.

What is the first limitation I will hit during long viewing sessions?

Battery life is the limiting factor — extended use will drain the AAA cells, requiring replacement to restore full infrared range.
