Direct replacement for Yamaha YHT690, RXV463BK.

This universal remote control is a direct replacement for the original Yamaha YHT690, RXV463BK, RXV563 and RXV563BL units. It arrives with all original functions pre-installed and supports one device via infrared. The remote is supplied new and ready for immediate use once batteries are fitted.

Pre-installed original button layout

Every button from the original remote is replicated on this unit, so no programming or learning steps are required. The infrared transmitter communicates with the supported Yamaha receivers exactly as the factory handset does. Power comes from standard AAA batteries which are not included.

Insert AAA batteries and operate

Installation consists of opening the battery compartment, inserting AAA cells and pointing the remote at the receiver. The main difficulty is that the remote controls only a single device, so users needing multi-device macros or control of other brands will find it unsuitable. The unit carries a 12 month guarantee against defects.

Questions about this item

How many devices can this single remote actually control once it is in my living room?

It supports exactly one device at a time, matching the original Yamaha YHT690, RXV463BK, RXV563 and RXV563BL remote functions.

What does the infrared link limit me to in daily use?

Infrared requires a direct line of sight to the receiver, so the remote must point at the Yamaha unit without obstacles.

Will this handset fit the same battery compartment as my old Yamaha remote?

Yes, it takes the same AAA batteries and is a direct physical replacement for the original YHT690, RXV463BK, RXV563 and RXV563BL models.
