Medium-duty masking tape

This beige crepe paper masking tape uses a natural rubber adhesive on a 3-inch core. Each roll measures 2 inches by 60 yards and the pack contains two rolls. It is rated medium-duty with a tensile strength of 19 lb/in and a thickness of 5.5 mil. The tape tears easily and removes without residue.

Interior painting and light bundling

The tape suits interior paint masking, carpet seaming, silk screening, mail room tasks and light-duty bundling or splicing. Builders who need a dispenser included or a heavy-duty grade for outdoor exposure should look elsewhere. It is not designed for high-temperature or long-term outdoor applications.

Natural rubber adhesive on crepe paper

The aggressive pressure-sensitive natural rubber adhesive bonds to a variety of surfaces and releases cleanly. This adhesive and backing combination decides whether the tape fits the job.

Questions about this item

Will the 3-inch core fit my standard desktop tape dispenser?

Yes, the 3-inch core matches common desktop dispensers, but no dispenser is included in the 2-pack.

How do I get the natural rubber adhesive to bond firmly without curling?

Press the crepe paper backing down smoothly so it lays flat; the adhesive grabs quickly and resists lifting.

When should I replace a roll that has been stored for a long time?

Replace it if the 5.5 mil tape tears unevenly or the beige adhesive leaves residue on clean surfaces.
