This cable converts a standard USB port into a 5 V DC supply for routers, LED strips, mini fans and similar low-power gear. It supports outputs up to 5 V 3 A and steps down to 300 mA, 500 mA, 700 mA, 1 A, 1.5 A, 2 A, 2.5 A and 3 A as required. The set includes 13 interchangeable tips plus a Type-C and Micro-USB plug, giving 14 pieces in total. It is not intended for laptops or high-power equipment.

Practical limits of the USB 5 V interface

The host port must deliver the current the connected device draws, so a 500 mA laptop port cannot run a 3 A load. Voltage is fixed at 5 V; the cable cannot step up to 9 V or 12 V for fast-charge protocols. Barrel connectors are polarity-specific — centre-positive only — and the 1 m length adds a small resistive drop at the highest currents. Devices needing more than 3 A or a different voltage are outside the design envelope.
