27 MHz BNC Antenna Pack

This pack contains two rubber-duck antennas for handheld CB radios. They are built for 27 MHz operation with a BNC connector and 1.5 dBi gain. The antennas suit boaters, off-road drivers or anyone using portable CB handsets. Each unit handles up to 10 W input power.

BNC Connector Compatibility

The single deciding specification is the BNC connector on your radio. These antennas only fit handheld CB transceivers that present a BNC female socket. If your radio uses SMA, TNC or a proprietary jack the antennas will not connect. Verify the port type before ordering.

Simple Screw-On Installation

Installation is a matter of threading each antenna onto the radio’s BNC port until snug. Over-tightening can damage the centre pin or strip the threads, so hand-tighten only. The most common issue is buyers discovering their radio has a different connector after the package arrives.

Questions about this item

What does the 1.5 dBi gain mean for my handheld CB radio?

The 1.5 dBi gain provides a modest signal boost over a theoretical isotropic radiator, helping extend usable range slightly on the 27 MHz CB band without adding length.

How does the BNC connector limit what radios I can use?

The BNC male connector fits only handheld CB radios that have a matching BNC female jack; it will not connect to SMA, TNC or proprietary antenna ports.

Will the 9.45 inch rubber antenna clear the belt clip on my Midland 75-822?

At 9.45 inches the flexible rubber duck sits well above most belt clips, so it should clear the Midland 75-822 and similar Cobra or Uniden handhelds without snagging.
