Acoustic Tube Headset for Kenwood NX TK Radios

This new acoustic tube earpiece connects to Kenwood two-way radios across the NX and TK model lines. It combines a TPU acoustic tube, ear-hook, elastic coil, high-performance micro speaker and noise-reduction microphone with anti-interference cable design. A range of ear-tip accessories is included to suit different wearing preferences. The unit is not intrinsically safe and is not waterproof.

Upgrade from Standard Earbud or Speaker-Mic

The acoustic tube routes audio directly into the ear canal, improving clarity in loud environments where a conventional earbud or remote speaker-mic can be drowned out. The flexible TPU tube and wear-resistant joints add durability for daily professional use. The jump is worth it when operators need discreet, hands-free communication with clearer receive audio and a comfortable ear-hook for extended shifts.

Suited for Kenwood Radio Users Needing Discreet

Security, hospitality, event and industrial teams using compatible Kenwood NX or TK portables will benefit from the clear transmission and comfortable fit. Buyers who require an intrinsically safe accessory for hazardous areas should look elsewhere. Users needing a waterproof headset for marine or outdoor exposure should also consider other options.

Questions about this item

What Kenwood radio connector does the acoustic tube earpiece use?

The earpiece plugs directly into Kenwood NX and TK series radios using the standard Kenwood two-pin accessory jack found on models such as the NX-200, NX-300, TK-2180 and TK-3180.

How do you attach the acoustic tube to the ear hook, and what step is often missed?

Slide the tube onto the ear hook until the anti-cracking joint clicks; the step users miss is seating the joint fully so the tube will not pull loose during movement.

Which parts of the acoustic tube headset wear out and need replacing over time?

The TPU acoustic tube, ear hook and elastic coil are the wear items; they should be swapped when the tube yellows, stiffens or the hook loses its grip.
