Dual-band 144/430 MHz mobile antenna with magnetic mount, 18.86 in cable and 70 W power handling
This magnetic-mount antenna covers the 144 MHz and 430 MHz amateur bands. It is built for operators using Retevis mobile transceivers such as the RT95, RT97, RT98, RT99, RB86, RA25, RT90, RT94, RT9550 and RT9000D. The 18.86 inch RG58 C/U coaxial cable terminates in an SL16-J/PL259 connector for direct radio connection. Maximum power handling is rated at 70 W.
Stated gain is 2.15 dBi on the 144 MHz band and 3.5 dBi on the 430 MHz band. These figures represent the practical ceiling for a compact dual-band whip; additional range requires a larger antenna or higher mounting position. The magnetic base needs a flat ferrous surface such as a vehicle roof or trunk lid for secure attachment. Cable length is fixed at 18.86 inches, so the radio must be positioned within that reach of the mount point.
This antenna replaces the short flexible antennas supplied with most handheld or mobile units. The jump is worthwhile when operating from a vehicle where a roof-mounted whip can exploit ground-plane effect and higher gain. It is not suited for portable handheld use or for installations where a permanent NMO through-hole mount is preferred. Buyers needing multi-band coverage beyond 144/430 MHz or a different connector type should look elsewhere.

This single pack covers 144/430 MHz dual band and fits the RT95 along with RT97 RA25 RT90 RT98 RT99 RB86 RT94 RT97 RT9550 RT9000D transceivers.
The 2.15 dbi on 144 MHz and 3.5 dbi on 430 MHz concentrate radiated power toward the horizon, extending usable range compared with a unity-gain whip.
The RG58 C/U cable ends in a PL259 plug that matches the standard UHF socket found on the listed Retevis mobile transceivers.
