Replacement PMMN4051 Speaker Microphone

The usbroway PMMN4051 is a new replacement remote speaker microphone fitted with a 3.5 mm audio jack. It connects directly to compatible Motorola two-way radios including the HT1000, MT2000, MTS2000, XTS1500, XTS2500, XTS3000, XTS3500 and XTS5000 series. The unit is built for professionals who need hands-free voice transmission while keeping the radio secured on a belt or vest.

Windporting Technology and Audio Jack

Windporting technology reduces wind and background noise so outgoing audio stays clear in moving vehicles or outdoor environments. The integrated 3.5 mm jack accepts a secondary earpiece or headset for discrete receive audio without removing the microphone from the shoulder. No batteries or external power are required; the microphone draws operating power from the radio connector.

Rugged Clip and Coiled Cable

A reinforced spring clip attaches the microphone to epaulettes, collars or tactical gear for quick access during patrol, driving or team shooting games. The coiled cable stretches to reach the radio without snagging on equipment or vehicle controls. The housing is sealed against dust and moisture to survive daily field use by police and security personnel.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the PMMN4051 remote speaker microphone to my XTS2500 radio?

Align the connector with the radio's accessory port and press firmly until it clicks; the 3.5 mm jack on the microphone is for an optional earpiece, not the radio connection.

What part of the PMMN4051 will need replacement first with daily patrol use?

The coiled cable and strain relief at the connector typically wear first; the windporting microphone capsule itself is sealed and lasts longer.

At what point does the 3.5 mm audio jack become the limiting factor during extended operations?

The jack is rated for standard headset impedance; continuous high-volume receive audio through a low-impedance earpiece can overdrive the jack's output stage before the radio does.
