Questions about this item

How many charge cycles can the 700 mAh Ni-MH cells handle before they need replacing?

The pack is rated for 200 days of warranty coverage; Ni-MH chemistry normally delivers hundreds of cycles, so expect several years of regular use before a swap is needed.

What runtime limit appears first during a long transmission session on the GXT 1000?

The 700 mAh capacity sets the talk-time ceiling; continuous high-power transmit will drain the pack faster than standby, so plan for a recharge after extended use.

Does the 6 V pack get hot or draw extra power when left on all day with the Midland GXT 1050?

Ni-MH cells run cool during normal receive duty; only heavy transmit cycles raise temperature slightly, and the radio's own power management handles the load.
