Purpose-built listen-only kit

This three-pack supplies receive-only earpieces for two-way radios, speaker mics, remote mics and any 3.5 mm audio jack. Each unit is a surveillance-style headset with a clear acoustic coil tube that keeps the ear canal open while delivering the incoming signal. The polyurethane-jacketed cable is built for rugged daily use and measures 33.5 inches unstretched.

Receive-only audio path

The earpieces have no microphone and no push-to-talk switch; they only reproduce audio from the connected device. Output level is rated at 72 dB with an impedance of 32 ohms, rated input power of .1 W and maximum input power of .2 W. The 3.5 mm plug is compatible with OEM radio accessories and standard portable players.

Integration notes

Because the kit is listen-only, users who need to transmit must pair it with a separate microphone or the radio's built-in mic. The single 3.5 mm connector fits speaker-mic jacks and remote-mic ports, freeing the radio's own speaker for ambient awareness. Buyers who need a transmit-capable headset or a dual-earcup design should look elsewhere.
