SMA-Female UHF Antenna Kit

This six-pack of short antennas fits two-way radios with an SMA-male connector. Each unit covers the 400-480 MHz UHF band with a gain of 1.5 dBi and handles up to 10 W of transmit power. The 3.4 inch length keeps the radio compact for belt or vest carry.

Replacing Long Stock Whips

The elastic construction bends without snapping, so it survives daily knocks better than a rigid factory antenna. Swap it in when the original whip is too tall for indoor work, vehicle use or crowded job sites. The upgrade is worthwhile whenever a lower profile matters more than maximum range.

Teams Needing Compact UHF Radios

Security crews, event staff and warehouse workers benefit from the short, flexible profile. Users who need VHF coverage, higher gain for rural terrain or a different connector type should look at other antenna models.

Questions about this item

Will the SMA-female connector fit my radio's SMA-male port?

Yes, the SMA-female connector mates with any standard SMA-male antenna port found on compatible two-way radios.

How do I install the antenna without damaging the threads?

Align the SMA-female connector straight onto the radio's SMA-male threads and hand-tighten only until snug; over-torquing with tools strips the fine threads.

When should I replace the antenna if the flexible whip develops a permanent bend?

Replace the antenna once the whip no longer springs back straight, as a permanent bend alters the 400-480 MHz radiation pattern and reduces the 1.5 dBi gain.
