Two-Way Radio Earpiece Kit

This pack supplies two transparent acoustic-tube earpieces with inline microphones and push-to-talk switches. They connect via a 2-pin K-type plug that fits many Kenwood, HYT, Puxing, Wouxun and Baofeng handheld radios. The gold-plated connector resists oxidation for reliable contact over extended use. Each unit includes two silicone earbud sizes for a secure fit.

2-Pin K Connector Limits

The 2-pin K interface carries mono audio and a single PTT signal, so it cannot support stereo monitoring or separate audio routing. Pin spacing and keying are fixed by the radio manufacturer, meaning the plug will not mate with single-pin, multi-pin or proprietary connectors found on some commercial or marine sets. Gold plating reduces contact resistance but does not change the electrical specification of the interface.

Dual Pack Capacity and Coverage

Two earpieces equip a pair of operators or provide an immediate spare for shift rotation. The rotating 360-degree clip secures the PTT microphone to clothing without snagging fabric. The acoustic tube delivers clear receive audio in noisy environments, while the hidden microphone keeps transmissions intelligible. Users needing more than two simultaneous listeners or a different connector type must source additional kits or alternative adapters.

Questions about this item

Is the 2-pack the only option or can I buy a single earpiece?

This listing supplies two earpieces in one pack; a single-unit option is not offered here.

How does the gold-plated 2-pin K connector affect audio quality on my Baofeng UV-5R?

The gold plating resists oxidation, keeping contact resistance low so distortion stays minimal and the connection remains stable over time.

What does the 360-degree rotating clip let me do in practice?

It lets you clip the PTT microphone to clothing at any angle without snagging or damaging the fabric.
