Swivel Plate Caster 750 lb

This ZORO SELECT swivel plate caster supports a 750 lb load rating on a 4 in polyurethane wheel. The aluminium core adds strength while the non-marking tread protects floor surfaces. A side pedal brake locks the wheel when stationary. The standard plate mounting fits common cart and wheelbarrow frames.

Mobile equipment needing a single locking wheel

Maintenance carts, workshop dollies and light material-handling trucks gain easy steering and a positive brake from this unit. Applications that require a total-lock mechanism securing both swivel and wheel simultaneously cannot use this caster. Buyers who need a rigid caster for straight-line tracking should look at a different type.

750 lb load rating

The 750 lb capacity is the decisive figure for selecting this caster. Exceeding this rating risks wheel deformation, brake failure or premature bearing wear. Verify the combined weight of the equipment and its maximum payload stays within this limit before installation.

Questions about this item

How do I bolt the standard plate caster to my cart, and what step do people miss?

Align the plate holes with the frame, use grade-5 bolts and lock nuts, then torque them — most installers forget the lock nuts and the caster works loose.

What part of this 750 lb polyurethane wheel will need replacement first?

The polyurethane tread on the aluminum core wears down before the side pedal brake or swivel raceway, so plan to swap the wheel when the tread thins.

At what load does the side pedal brake stop holding on a slope?

The brake is rated for the full 750 lb capacity; beyond that the wheel can slip on inclines even with the pedal engaged.
