Rigid Plate Caster for Heavy Loads

This rigid plate caster supports a 1200 lb load rating with an 8 inch polyurethane wheel. It is built for wheelbarrows, carts and other yard equipment that need straight-line rolling under heavy weight. The non-marking tread protects finished floors while the rigid design keeps the wheel tracking true.

1200 lb Load Rating Decides Fit

The single specification that determines whether this caster works for your project is the 1200 lb load rating. If your cart or wheelbarrow regularly carries more than this figure, the caster will not be safe. If the load stays at or below 1200 lb, the polyurethane wheel and core provide durable, non-marking performance.

Bolt-On Plate Mounting

Installation uses the standard plate mount with pre-drilled holes; no swivel lock or brake is included so the caster rolls only in a fixed direction. The main issue installers encounter is mismatched bolt patterns on the equipment frame, so verify hole spacing before drilling. Proposition 65 warnings apply.

Questions about this item

What does the 1200 lb load rating mean when the caster is mounted on a cart?

Each caster supports up to 1200 lb; total cart capacity depends on the number of casters used and how evenly the load is spread across them.

How does the plate mounting pattern limit what frames this caster can attach to?

The rigid plate bolts to a flat surface; hole spacing must match the plate pattern for a secure fit.

What clearance and wheel width are needed for the 8 in polyurethane wheel to roll properly?

The wheel is 8 in diameter and 2 in wide, so allow enough vertical space for the full diameter and lateral room for the tread width.
