Swivel Stem Caster 4 in 275 lb

This Zoro Select swivel stem caster supports up to 275 lb per wheel and fits wheelbarrows, carts and similar yard equipment. The polyurethane wheel is non-marking and measures 4 in diameter by 1 1/4 in width. A threaded 1/2 in.-13 x 2-1/2 in steel stem mounts directly into the frame.

Sustained load performance

The Delrin bearing and zinc-plated steel frame maintain smooth swivel action under continuous loads up to the 275 lb rating. Polyurethane tread resists flat-spotting during prolonged static weight. Rated for service from 0 to 299 lb, it handles repeated start-stop cycles without binding.

1/2 in.-13 threaded stem compatibility

The caster installs only on frames with a matching 1/2 in.-13 threaded hole and at least 2-1/2 in of stem engagement. Builders using plain bore, grip-ring or plate-mount patterns cannot use this stem. Verify thread pitch and length before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 275 lb load rating hold steady when the caster runs all day under a full cart?

The caster is rated for 275 lb continuous load; the polyurethane wheel and Delrin bearing are designed for sustained rolling without overheating.

What stem size must my cart already have for the 1/2 In. -13 x 2-1/2 in threaded stem to fit?

Your cart needs a matching 1/2 inch -13 threaded hole at least 2-1/2 inches deep to accept the stem.

Will the 4 in polyurethane wheel roll smoothly on the same concrete floor where my older steel-wheel casters left marks?

Yes, the non-marking polyurethane tread prevents floor damage while the Delrin bearing keeps rolling resistance low on hard surfaces.
