Standard-Duty Canvas Tarp

This 15 x 20 ft cotton canvas tarp is built for general-purpose covering and ground protection. The 20 mil thickness and 10 oz/sq yd fabric weight provide a balance of durability and handling for standard-duty tasks. Nickel-plated brass grommets spaced 24 in apart allow secure tie-downs. The finished dimensions measure 14 ft 6 in x 19 ft 6 in after hemming.

Outdoor Coverage and Ground Use

It suits users who need a breathable, water-resistant barrier for equipment, firewood, or seasonal shade. The mildew-resistant treatment helps longevity in damp conditions. Buyers requiring a fully waterproof or insulated cover should look at something else. High-visibility or fire-retardant requirements are also not met by this tan canvas.

Capacity and Weather Limits

The standard-duty rating comfortably handles light debris, dust, and intermittent rain on woodpiles or machinery. Double-stitched seams and .5 in grommets hold up to moderate wind when properly secured. The material is not breathable, so trapped moisture can condense underneath during temperature swings. Prolonged heavy downpours or standing water will exceed the water-resistant capability.

Questions about this item

What tie-down points does the 15 x 20 ft canvas tarp provide for securing it?

Nickel-plated brass grommets with a 0.5 in inside diameter are spaced every 24 in along the perimeter.

Will the finished 14 ft 6 in by 19 ft 6 in tarp cover the same footprint as a 15 x 20 ft cut-size sheet I used before?

The finished dimensions are 14 ft 6 in by 19 ft 6 in, so the coverage is slightly smaller than the cut size.

How can I confirm the tarp is shedding water as intended after I set it up?

Water should bead and run off the surface; the canvas is water-resistant but not fully waterproof.
