4-inch polyurethane stem caster

This 4-inch stem caster uses a polyurethane wheel rated for 150 lb load capacity. The swivel design mounts with a 7/16 in by 1-29/32 in friction-ring stem to suit carts and wheelbarrows. A zinc-plated steel frame resists corrosion while the non-marking tread protects floor surfaces.

Thermals noise and power

The caster operates without a motor so it generates no heat and draws no power. Rolling noise stays low because the polyurethane tread absorbs vibration on hard surfaces. No electrical connections or cooling considerations are required for installation.

Bundled accessories and software

No accessories or software are included with the caster. The unit ships as a single wheel assembly ready for stem insertion. Buyers who need mounting hardware or lubricant must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 7/16 in x 1-29/32 in friction-ring stem, and what step do people miss?

Align the stem with the socket, then push firmly until the ring snaps fully into the groove; the step most people miss is verifying the ring is completely seated before loading the caster.

Which part of this polyurethane wheel will need replacement first under normal use?

The polyurethane tread will wear down before the plain bore or steel frame; when the tread is thin or develops flat spots, replace the entire caster.

What is the first limit reached when this 150 lb rated caster runs continuously under full load?

The 150 lb load rating is the limiting factor; exceeding it risks wheel deformation, frame stress, or premature bearing wear during sustained operation.
