Caster Brake Kit for 2 in Wheels

This Value Brand caster brake kit fits wheels that are 2 in wide and uses a face contact brake design. The kit includes the brake mechanism in thermoplastic material and is supplied without a lock. It is intended for wheelbarrows and carts that need a replacement or additional braking component. The part is new and ready for installation on compatible equipment.

For maintenance on wheelbarrows and carts

The kit suits owners who need a face contact brake for a 2 in wheel and are comfortable fitting the part themselves. Buyers who require a locking function or a different brake style will need to source an alternative kit. Shoppers looking for a complete wheel assembly or a different wheel width should look at other listings.

Face contact brake without lock

The defining specification is the face contact brake type combined with the absence of a lock. If your wheelbarrow or cart calls for this exact brake style and a 2 in wheel width, the kit matches that requirement. If the equipment needs a locking brake or a different mounting method, this kit will not fit the application.

Questions about this item

What comes in the ZORO SELECT caster brake kit and what else is needed to use it?

The kit includes the face contact brake mechanism made of thermoplastic for a 2 in wheel width; the lock component is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which capacity or version of this brake kit should I choose for my wheel?

This single kit is designed for wheels with a 2 in width and an 8 in diameter; select it only if those dimensions match your caster.

What does the 8 in figure mean once the brake is installed on my cart?

The 8 in measurement is the wheel diameter the brake fits; it determines the contact surface radius and ensures the face brake engages properly on that size wheel.
