Built for Heavy Loads

This 8 inch caster wheel is rated for 900 lb and suits workbenches, shelving units, tables and heavy equipment. The polypropylene core and polyolefin tread give a strong, durable rolling surface. It is not intended for applications that exceed the stated capacity or need a different tread compound.

Low Rolling Resistance

The standard tread design keeps friction low so the wheel moves smoothly under full load. Polyolefin resists wear and does not mark floors during normal use. No lubrication or special maintenance is required to keep it running quietly.

Simple Bolt-On Fitment

The wheel installs with common hardware and fits standard caster rigs for quick replacement. Black polypropylene construction resists moisture and most shop chemicals. Buyers who need a larger diameter, a different bore size or a locking brake should look for a model that specifies those features.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 8" x 2" polypropylene caster wheel and what step is often missed?

Mount the wheel to the axle or bracket using the correct hardware; the step often missed is securing the retaining clip or nut fully so the wheel cannot work loose under a 900 lb load.

What maintenance or replacement will this caster wheel need over time?

Inspect the polyolefin tread for flat spots or cracking and check the polypropylene core for deformation; replace the wheel when the tread wears down or the core shows stress marks.

What limit appears first when this caster wheel runs continuously under heavy load?

The 900 lb capacity is the first limit; sustained loads at or near that rating will accelerate tread wear and core fatigue before any other factor.
