Swivel Plate Caster 8 Inch 1200 lb

This heavy-duty swivel plate caster is built for wheelbarrows, carts and material-handling equipment that need reliable mobility. The iron wheel and core handle rough surfaces while the non-marking tread protects finished floors. A side brake locks the wheel when the load must stay stationary.

Load Rating 1200 lb

The single specification that decides fit is the 1200 lb load rating per caster. Multiply by the number of casters on your equipment to confirm the total capacity meets or exceeds the maximum weight you will move. Exceeding this rating risks wheel deformation and sudden failure.

Plate Mount With Side Brake

Four mounting holes in the top plate bolt directly to the equipment frame using standard hardware. The side brake engages with a foot press; check clearance so the lever does not hit the frame or load. Iron treads can be noisy on concrete and may rust if left outdoors.

Questions about this item

How much weight does the 1200 lb load rating actually support on a cart?

The 1200 lb rating is the maximum capacity for a single caster under ideal conditions; total cart capacity depends on the number of casters and load distribution.

What does the 8 in wheel diameter mean for rolling over rough ground?

An 8 in diameter iron wheel rolls over cracks and debris more easily than smaller wheels, but the rigid iron tread transmits vibration and can damage delicate floors.

What bolt pattern does the 15 series plate use for mounting?

The swivel plate caster mounts with a standard four-hole top plate; verify your equipment matches the hole spacing and bolt size before installation.
