Quick Connect Plug 3/8 NPT

This galvanized-steel quick-connect plug fits a 3/8 inch male NPT inlet and provides a 3/8 inch male quick-connect outlet. It is intended for indoor maintenance tasks that require fast, tool-free hose or wand changes.

Pressure and temperature limits

The fitting is rated for a maximum working pressure of 4,000 psi and a maximum fluid temperature of 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Exceeding either limit can cause leakage or permanent damage to the component.

Installation notes

Thread the NPT end into the matching port using appropriate sealant and tighten to a secure fit; the quick-connect side snaps onto a compatible coupler without tools. Common issues include cross-threading the tapered thread or using a mismatched coupler that prevents a full lock.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 3/8 in (M) NPT version or a different thread size?

Choose the 3/8 in (M) NPT version when your hose or tool has a matching 3/8 in male NPT thread; other thread sizes will not seal correctly.

What does the 4,000 psi rating mean when the plug is installed on my pressure washer?

The plug is tested to hold up to 4,000 psi, so it will not burst or leak at normal pressure-washer operating pressures.

How does the NPT thread standard affect the maximum pressure I can run?

The 3/8 in male NPT thread seals with taper engagement and thread sealant, and the assembly is rated for the full 4,000 psi when properly tightened.
