6 in Rigid Plate Caster

This rigid plate caster mounts directly to equipment frames and supports loads up to 1000 lb. The 6 in polyurethane wheel rolls smoothly over concrete, asphalt or packed gravel without marking finished floors. It is suited for maintenance carts, heavy toolboxes or industrial dollies that need a fixed-direction wheel.

Polyurethane wheel and non-marking tread

The polyurethane tread resists oil, grease and most solvents while protecting epoxy or polished concrete surfaces. Because the wheel core is also polyurethane, there is no metal rim to rust or damage flooring. The caster ships without a brake or swivel lock, so the wheel rotates freely in a straight line.

1000 lb load rating

The rated capacity of 1000 lb per caster determines whether the part matches the total weight of the loaded cart divided by the number of wheels. Buyers who need a swivel caster, a built-in brake or a higher capacity should select a different model.

Questions about this item

Will the polyurethane wheel need replacement after heavy use?

The polyurethane wheel is non-marking and built for a 1000 lb load rating, so it resists wear under normal cart or wheelbarrow use.

What stops the caster from rolling when a 1000 lb load is applied?

This rigid plate caster has no brake and no swivel lock, so it relies on the equipment frame or a separate stop to hold position.

Does the caster generate heat or noise during all-day operation?

The rigid design with a polyurethane wheel and core runs quietly and produces negligible heat under continuous rolling loads.
