Rigid Plate Caster 145 lb

This rigid plate caster uses a 5 inch polyurethane wheel on a plastic core to support loads up to 145 lb. The wheel measures 1 inch wide and has a standard tread shape. It is non-marking and includes no brake or swivel lock.

Indoor equipment carts and light industrial dollies

Suited for builders fitting a fixed-direction wheel to a flat mounting plate on carts or work platforms that stay on smooth floors. Not for buyers who need a swivel caster for steering, a brake to hold position on slopes, or a higher load rating for heavier machinery.

Fixed mounting on flat surfaces

The standard plate bolts directly to a rigid frame, leaving the wheel to roll straight ahead without pivot. The polyurethane tread resists marking on finished floors and the plastic core keeps the assembly light. No brake hardware is included, so the builder must add separate locking if the cart must stay stationary.

Questions about this item

What mounting plate or frame do I need to attach this 145 lb rigid caster?

The caster uses a standard rigid plate; you must supply a matching flat mounting surface with the correct bolt pattern for the plate holes.

Will the 5 in polyurethane wheel roll smoothly on the same axle as my older steel wheels?

The polyurethane tread is non‑marking and designed for standard wheelbarrow or cart axles, so it will roll alongside older wheels of the same diameter and width.

How can I confirm the caster is carrying its rated load without binding?

Load the cart to 145 lb and push; the wheel should turn freely, the rigid plate should stay fixed, and the polyurethane tread should show no flat spots.
