Value Brand Swivel Plate Caster

The Value Brand swivel plate caster is a single rubber wheel assembly rated for 250 lb load capacity. It features a total lock brake that secures both wheel rotation and swivel movement simultaneously. The 3-1/2 inch diameter wheel uses a plastic core with rubber tread. This caster suits replacement or new-build wheeled equipment.

Buyers needing a total lock brake

This caster suits buyers who need a total lock brake that stops both rolling and swivelling with one action. It is not for buyers who need a directional lock only. It is not for buyers who require a non-marking tread. It is not for buyers who need a wheel diameter other than 3-1/2 inches.

250 lb load rating

The 250 lb load rating is the single specification that decides fit. Verify that the intended equipment and combined load stay within this limit. Exceeding the rating risks wheel or bracket failure. The total lock brake engages fully when the pedal is depressed.

Questions about this item

Does the caster arrive as a single unit or must the wheel and mounting plate be assembled separately?

The product is supplied as one complete swivel plate caster with the rubber wheel already mounted on its plastic core, so no assembly is required.

When should the 250 lb total-lock version be chosen instead of a lighter-duty model?

Select this caster when the equipment weight plus load reaches up to 250 lb and you need the wheel and swivel to lock together for stationary stability.

How does the 3-1/2 inch wheel diameter affect movement on a workshop floor?

The 3-1/2 inch rubber wheel rolls over small debris and floor joints more easily than smaller casters while keeping the overall mounting height low.
