5 in Swivel Plate Caster 1050 lb

This heavy-duty caster uses a 5 in polyurethane wheel on an aluminium core to carry loads up to 1050 lb. The swivel plate design allows smooth directional changes on carts and wheelbarrows. A side brake locks the wheel when the load must stay stationary.

Replaces fixed or lower-rated casters

Swapping a rigid or lighter caster for this swivel unit adds steering flexibility and raises the load limit to 1050 lb. The upgrade is worthwhile when a cart needs tighter turning and a higher weight capacity without changing the mounting pattern.

Check plate dimensions and brake clearance

Verify that the mounting plate bolt pattern matches the existing holes on your equipment. Ensure there is enough space around the wheel for the side brake lever to engage fully. Confirm the polyurethane tread suits the floor surface to avoid marking.

Questions about this item

What size mounting plate does the 5 in polyurethane wheel caster need?

The swivel plate caster mounts with a standard top plate; bolt-hole spacing matches common industrial patterns for the 1050 lb load rating.

How do I engage the side brake on the 1050 lb swivel caster?

Press the side-mounted brake lever down until it locks against the 5 in polyurethane tread; the lever must travel fully to prevent creep under load.

When should the polyurethane wheel on the 1050 lb caster be replaced?

Replace the wheel when the polyurethane tread shows chunking, flat spots or the aluminum core becomes visible through the 2 in wide running surface.
