Value Brand Swivel Plate Caster 5 in 1200 lb

5-inch Iron Swivel Plate Caster

This 5-inch swivel plate caster uses a cast-iron wheel and core rated for 1200 lb. A side brake locks the wheel while the top plate swivels freely. The tread is non-marking and shaped to a standard profile. It suits heavy carts, workbenches or mobile equipment that need a single rugged wheel.

Load rating and brake limits

The 1200 lb capacity applies to the wheel assembly under ideal conditions; uneven floors, impact loads or continuous duty reduce the safe working load. The side brake holds the wheel but does not lock the swivel, so the caster can still rotate under lateral force. No swivel lock is included, so directional stability depends on the mounting arrangement.

Mounting and surface checks

Verify the top-plate bolt pattern matches your equipment before ordering. Confirm the mounting surface is flat and rigid enough to carry the rated load without flexing. The iron tread will not mark floors but can damage soft or finished surfaces if dragged sideways. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to this product.
