Swivel Plate Caster 8 in 1000 lb

This Zoro Select caster mounts to equipment with a standard plate and swivels freely for steering. The polyolefin tread on a plastic core resists marking floors and supports a 1000 lb load rating per wheel. It arrives new and is sold as a single unit.

Build integration needs and freedoms

Four mounting holes on the plate accept bolts for carts, dollies or workbenches. The 8 in wheel diameter rolls over thresholds and rough concrete without a brake or swivel lock to restrict motion. Non-marking material keeps shop floors clean while the plastic core keeps weight low.

Ideal users and mismatched needs

Maintenance crews and DIY builders moving heavy loads up to 1000 lb per caster will value the durable polyolefin wheel. Buyers who need a brake for stationary safety or a swivel lock for straight-line tracking should look at other models. The Proposition 65 notice also applies for California shipments.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 8 in polyolefin wheel support before it deforms under constant load?

The wheel carries a 1000 lb load rating, so sustained pressure at or near that limit will be the first constraint you hit.

Does the caster generate noticeable heat or noise when rolled continuously on concrete all day?

The polyolefin tread on a plastic core runs quietly and stays cool during extended use because there is no brake or swivel lock to create friction.

What mounting hardware do I need to bolt this standard plate caster to my cart frame?

You must supply your own bolts, nuts and washers that match the plate’s hole pattern; the caster ships with only the top plate attached.
