Value Brand Swivel Plate Caster Cast Iron 5 in 1200 lb

Swivel Plate Caster for Heavy Loads

This cast-iron swivel plate caster carries a 1200 lb load rating on a 5 in wheel with 2 in width. The iron wheel and core resist wear on rough surfaces while the non-marking tread protects finished floors. A single wheel without brake or swivel lock keeps the design simple for straight-line or free-swivel movement. It suits carts, workbenches and mobile equipment that need high capacity in a compact footprint.

Simple Bolt-On Mounting

The top plate bolts directly to the frame using standard hardware you supply. No brake or swivel lock means fewer parts to align, but the caster will rotate freely unless you add an external stop. Iron treads can bind if debris builds up in the swivel race, so keep the mounting surface clean and check fasteners after the first few hours of use. Over-tightening bolts may distort the plate and restrict swivel action.

Verify Plate Pattern and Clearance

Measure the bolt-hole spacing on your existing equipment to match the caster plate before ordering. Confirm the 5 in wheel diameter provides enough ground clearance for your load height and floor transitions. The iron wheel is not suited for soft turf or delicate flooring where a wider or softer tread would spread the load. Ensure the 1200 lb rating meets the combined weight of the cart plus maximum payload.
