Rigid Plate Caster 1000 lb

This rigid plate caster supports a 1000 lb load rating for heavy-duty material handling. The polyurethane wheel measures 5 in diameter and 2 in width with a non-marking tread. It suits carts, dollies and platform trucks in warehouses or workshops. No brake or swivel lock is included.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The polyurethane tread resists flat-spotting when the caster remains stationary under full load. Its standard tread shape distributes weight evenly across the 2 in width during prolonged use. The rigid yoke maintains straight tracking without swivel-induced side forces. Steel construction preserves structural integrity over repeated cycles.

Build Quality and Mounting

A steel frame and polyurethane wheel core provide durability in industrial environments. The rigid plate bolts directly to equipment frames for permanent installation. Non-marking wheels protect finished floors from scuffs during daily moves. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to chemicals in the product.

Questions about this item

Does the polyurethane wheel stay cool and quiet when the caster carries its 1000 lb rating all day?

The polyurethane tread is non-marking and designed for standard rolling resistance, so it runs quietly and does not generate noticeable heat under the rated 1000 lb load.

What mounting hardware do I already need to bolt this rigid plate caster in place?

The caster uses a standard top plate; you must supply bolts or screws that match the plate's hole pattern and the material you are mounting it to.

Will this 5 in rigid caster track straight alongside the older swivel casters already on my cart?

Yes, the rigid design provides fixed-direction travel, so it will track straight when paired with swivel casters on the same cart.
