Swivel Plate Caster 145 lb

This Value Brand swivel plate caster carries a 145 lb load rating on a 5 in polyurethane wheel. The polyolefin core and non-marking tread suit indoor carts and light yard equipment. A side brake locks the wheel when the load must stay stationary. No swivel lock is included.

Mounting plate and brake clearance

Verify that the mounting plate pattern matches the existing bolt holes on your cart or wheelbarrow. Confirm there is enough space around the wheel for the side brake lever to engage fully without hitting the frame or adjacent parts. The caster is sold individually, so order the quantity required for the full set.

Thermals noise and power

The caster has no motor, electronics or moving parts that generate heat, so thermal output is negligible. Rolling noise on smooth surfaces is low thanks to the polyurethane tread. No electrical power is drawn and no cooling is required during normal use.

Questions about this item

Does the caster come with mounting hardware or do I need to buy bolts separately?

The caster includes a mounting plate with pre-drilled holes; bolts, nuts and washers are not supplied and must be sourced to match your equipment.

Should I choose the 145 lb version or a higher-capacity model for a loaded garden cart?

Select the 145 lb caster only if the combined weight of the cart and its maximum load divided by the number of casters stays at or below 145 lb per wheel.

How does the 145 lb load rating hold up when the cart moves over rough ground?

The 145 lb rating applies to the polyurethane wheel on its polyolefin core with a side brake engaged; impact loads from potholes or thresholds can exceed the rating, so keep the loaded weight comfortably below the limit.
