Swivel Plate Caster with Total Lock Brake

This 5 inch swivel plate caster uses a thermoplastic rubber wheel on a plastic core to support 325 lb per caster. The total lock brake secures both wheel rotation and swivel motion at once. Non‑marking tread protects finished floors during moves.

Suits light carts and wheelbarrows.

Builders moving light equipment or garden carts will find the 325 lb rating adequate. Buyers who need higher capacity per wheel or a directional lock instead of total lock should look at other caster types. The single‑wheel design also limits stability on very uneven ground.

325 lb load rating decides fit

Match the caster load rating to the total weight divided by the number of casters. If the calculated load per caster exceeds 325 lb, this model will not be safe. The total lock brake adds security only when the per‑caster load stays within that limit.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the total-lock brake is engaging both the wheel and swivel after installation?

Apply weight to the caster and try to roll and turn it; the 325 lb rated brake should prevent both wheel rotation and swivel movement when the pedal is fully depressed.

What components come with this ZORO SELECT caster and what mounting hardware must be sourced separately?

The box contains one 5 in thermoplastic rubber wheel on a plastic core with total-lock brake and standard mounting plate; bolts, nuts and washers for the plate are not included.

Which wheel material suits indoor floors without marking while supporting the 325 lb load rating?

The non-marking thermoplastic rubber tread on a plastic core is specified for the full 325 lb capacity and will not leave marks on finished floors.
