V-Groove Rigid Caster 6 in 1200 lb

This rigid plate caster supports a 1200 lb load rating with a 6 in iron wheel. The V-groove tread suits track-guided material-handling carts and heavy workshop dollies. It is sold new and restricted from sale in California due to Proposition 65 chemical warnings. Builders needing swivel motion or a built-in brake should select a different model.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive mechanical component the caster generates no heat, noise or electrical draw during normal operation. Rolling resistance depends on track condition and load rather than an internal power source. No thermal management or power supply is required for this hardware.

Included accessories and software

The unit ships as a single rigid caster with a mounting plate and no brake or swivel lock hardware. No software, lubrication kit or additional fasteners are bundled with the product. Installers must supply their own bolts and any required track alignment fixtures.

Questions about this item

How is the rigid plate caster installed and what alignment step is often missed?

Bolt the mounting plate to a flat frame using four bolts; the step people skip is confirming the V-groove runs parallel to the track so the wheel seats correctly.

What maintenance or replacement will the 6-inch iron V-groove wheel need later?

Inspect the iron tread for groove wear and the axle for corrosion; replace the entire caster when the V-profile no longer guides cleanly on the track.

What limit appears first when the 1200 lb caster runs continuously on a V-track?

Heat buildup in the iron wheel core and groove friction will degrade tracking before the 1200 lb load rating is reached.
