  • Cast iron core and tread deliver long service life

Rigid V-Groove Caster for Heavy Loads

This rigid plate caster uses a 6 in iron wheel with a V-groove tread to track straight on inverted angle iron or flat surfaces. It carries a 2500 lb load rating and is sold as a single wheel unit. The non-marking iron construction resists wear in demanding industrial environments.

Plate Mount Integrates Directly Into Frames

The rigid housing bolts to equipment frames, carts or wheelbarrow chassis without adding swivel hardware. No brake or swivel lock is included, so the caster provides fixed linear travel and frees up design space that a swivel assembly would occupy. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to this product.

Replaces Lower Capacity or Swivel Casters

Upgrading to this 2500 lb rated caster suits applications where fixed tracking and higher load capacity are required over lighter duty or swivel alternatives. The jump is worth it when equipment must follow a guided path and the existing casters cannot support the weight or maintain alignment.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 6 in V-groove iron wheel support before it reaches its load rating?

The caster is rated for 2500 lb, so sustained loads above that level will exceed the specified capacity.

Does the iron wheel generate noticeable heat or noise when rolling continuously under load?

The solid iron wheel and rigid plate design have no brake or swivel lock, so heat and noise stay low during all-day use on smooth surfaces.

What mounting hardware is required to attach the rigid plate to my equipment?

The caster uses a standard rigid top plate; you will need bolts or screws that match the plate’s hole pattern to secure it.
