Industrial V-Groove Caster for Track Use

This rigid plate caster uses a 5 inch iron wheel with a V-groove tread designed to run on inverted angle iron track. The 900 lb load rating suits heavy industrial carts and fixtures that must follow a fixed linear path. The wheel core and tread are both iron, providing durability on metal surfaces.

Fixed Mounting and Non-Marking Iron Tread

The rigid plate bolts directly to equipment without swivel movement, keeping travel straight along the track. A non-marking finish helps protect the running surface from iron transfer during operation. No brake or swivel lock is included, so the caster rolls freely whenever the track is engaged.

Single-Wheel Constraint and Proposition 65 Notice

With only one wheel per caster, stability depends on using multiple units spaced across the frame. The iron-on-iron contact can generate noise and wear on softer track materials over time. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What load rating does the 5 in V-groove rigid caster support?

The caster is rated for 900 lb, so it caps the maximum load you can safely apply to a single wheel in this configuration.

What mounting pattern does the rigid plate caster require?

The rigid plate caster bolts to a flat surface using its top plate; hole spacing follows the standard pattern for this 5 in V-groove iron wheel.

How do you install the caster and what step is often missed?

Bolt the top plate securely to the frame, then verify the V-groove seats cleanly on the track — skipping the alignment check causes binding and uneven wear.
