Single S-hook for shade-sail mounting

This 316 stainless-steel S-hook is designed to connect a California Sun shade sail to its anchor points. The hook measures 75mm by 55mm and is rated for a 300lb load capacity. It is sold individually so you can purchase the exact quantity your layout requires. The marine-grade alloy resists corrosion in outdoor environments.

Component-based hardware system

The hook is part of a modular range that also includes snap hooks, padeyes, turnbuckles and complete kits listed separately. Buyers can mix individual pieces to match the geometry of their sail rather than relying on a fixed kit. Each accessory shares the same 316 stainless construction for consistent durability. The modular approach lets you replace or add a single hook without buying a full set.

Check anchor strength and hook count

Verify that each mounting point can handle the 300lb rating before installing the hook. Count the corners and tension lines on your sail to determine how many S-hooks the project needs. Ensure the 75mm by 55mm profile fits the eyelets or rings on your specific sail. The hook weighs .1500 so factor that into any lightweight structural calculations.

Questions about this item

Will the 316 stainless steel S-hook need replacement due to corrosion in a coastal environment?

The hook is made from 316 stainless steel, which resists saltwater corrosion far better than standard grades, so it should not require replacement from rust under normal outdoor exposure.

What is the maximum sustained load the 75mm x 55mm S-hook can handle before deforming?

The stated load capacity is 300lb; exceeding this limit risks permanent bending or failure of the hook under sustained tension.

Does the stainless steel hardware generate heat or noise when the shade sail flaps in wind all day?

The passive metal hook produces no noise of its own and does not generate heat; any sound comes from sail movement, not the hardware.
