System Overview

The Velztorm Ferrux II is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It includes 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast storage. A GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 handles visual output, while a 750W supply and 240mm AIO liquid cooler support the components. Windows 11 Home is installed.

Buyer Fit

This system suits users who want a high core-count CPU for multitasking or content creation alongside 1080p gaming. The 2.5Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 cover modern wireless and wired needs. Buyers who need more GPU memory for higher resolutions or professional rendering should look elsewhere. The single DisplayPort output also limits multi-monitor setups without adapters.

Deciding Specification

The installed graphics card is a GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6, not a full desktop variant. This distinction determines 3D performance ceilings and power draw. Verify that this specific mobile GPU meets the frame-rate targets for the intended games or applications before purchase.

Questions about this item

What monitor connection does the RTX 3050 need?

The GeForce RTX 3050 provides one DisplayPort output, so a monitor with a DisplayPort input or a suitable adapter is required.

Will my older USB 2.0 peripherals work with the four USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, the four USB 2.0 ports accept legacy keyboards, mice and other USB 2.0 devices directly.

How can I confirm the i9-12900K is running at up to 5.2 GHz?

Open Task Manager in Windows 11 Home and watch the CPU frequency under load; it should reach the 5.2 GHz maximum turbo speed.
